At times, I had up to eight computers on the workbench, running back and forth running multiple programs on each, keeping a checklist of the steps taken and being totally overwhelmed in the process.

Eventually we came to the conclusion that the fastest way to clean these computers was to back up personal data and important documents (pictures, bookmarks, music and other files) then re-install the operating system. Once that was done we would give suggestions to our clients so they could prevent getting back into this situation.

Over time we put together a list of steps to take, so we could refer our customers to the list and possibly get our heads above water! I cannot remember the number of people that were recurring customers for the same problem. That's why we made sure they left with a list of "Safe Computing Practices" in hand.

As you have noticed, we have advertisements on this site. These advertisements allow us to provide valuable information to help you for free. The paid for product on this site are products that I have personally used and continue to use. If the products that are being promoted did not provide a valuable service then they would not be recommended.
